Dr. Fr. Panka Toppo, S.J., is a Co-founder of Xavier Institute of Development Action and Studies (XIDAS), Jabalpur and the Founder Director of the Institute for 13 years.He was also a HOD of Rural Management in the same Institute. He was appointed as a Project Director for the State of Orissa by ICSSR, Govt. of India for the study of 'the Education Status of ST/SC: Attainments & Challenges”. He was a Principal of Xavier College at XITE, Gamharia (Jamshedpur). Previous to this he was an Associate Dean, Student Affairs (ADSA), at XLRI, Jamshedpur. He was also a member of the Peer Team, National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore and a Development Consultant for Caritas India Delhi. He was a Faculty and Coordinator, PGPRM at XIM Bhubaneswar and taught Societal Analysis & Development Action and Economics. Under the collaboration between XIMB and the National Institute of Social Work and Social Service (NISWASS), Bhubaneswar, he was a Principal of NISWASS. He was a Chairman of Social Research Committee for Social Work and Social Communication, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Orissa and a member of the Academic Council and Equivalent Committee, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. He has done certificate courses in Small and Medium Business Management (UFSIA, Belgium) and Advanced Management (MDF, Colombo). He has 36 years of experience in teaching, training, research supervision, NGO Network and project co-ordination with national and International organizations.
He has conducted a number of training programs and workshops in Leadership, Personality Development, Institution building & motivation for the management students, Teaching Staff & the Second Line Leaders of Organizations. He is a recipient of the national award for his contribution in the field of social and educational development. He was a Coordinator of XISA and a Manager of Campion School, Raipur. He held the position of a Rector & Vice President of Loyola Institute, (XIDAS), Jabalpur and the Founder Director of theInstitute for 13 years.
